“iQ Press” records material and process parameters

AI methods and smart data analytics are being tested in numerous projects in the press shop as well as in functional assurance and are already being used in series in some places. Since 2019, every blank has been laser-coded at the beginning. It enables the component to be clearly identified. The “iQ Press” system uses coding to record material and process parameters, such as the thickness of the sheet metal and the oil layer, the temperature or the speed of the presses, and links these to the quality of the parts produced.
