Regensburg is not only a town, not only a conglomeration of houses, streets, bridges and squares. Regensburg is a great deal more - it represents history, present and future at the same time.
Regensburg was the centre of medieval life and architecture. It tells stories from more than 2,000 years but stands, like no other city, for technology, modernity and future.
The city lives - summer and winter, early in the morning until late at night. Early in the morning its 140.000 inhabitants go to their work, thousands of tourists explore its narrow and winding alley-ways, the old historic walls, bridges and the historical stories and in the evening all mix with the 30.000 students of the town in inns, bars, pubs and clubs to let the town pulsate till late at night.
One thing they all have in common: The enjoyment of the magnificent buildings and old historic walls which where declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006 and radiate the feeling of life in a northern Italian city that could hardly be more beautiful... Who has been here once, will like to come back - sometimes even to stay for ever...
